News today is exciting, but often also confusing and a bit frightening for students. In our current environment, we must work to prepare students to engage with local news and to decipher vital truth. Our small school has existed without a school newspaper or a viable means of creative student communication for many years. I would like to change that. When students use effective equipment to report, produce, and own their news, the entire school community thrives. We have the motivation, a classroom full of fourteen engaged and excited journalism students who are tech-savvy. Now we just need the necessary equipment to make it work. This project will fund vital video equipment so that our journalism program can take the next step and produce our own news. We want to inform our school community, fire them up about things that matter, and make them laugh with our quirky and fun broadcast. Please help us do that!
