Flexible seating is about making the students feel comfortable and also making them feel more engaged. When students are moving, they feel like they control the environment. This increases their desire to work and learn; therefore, it has a direct impact on student achievement. Flexible seating allows students to take control of their learning environment. Currently, my students use desks and chairs. Chairs often take lots of space and having a full classroom of students makes it hard to move sometimes. By having more flexible seating in my class will allow my students to move around the room and choose their place to sit.
