My Advanced Placement European History students are a highly motivated group. The students enjoy learning and it is important for them to have hands on experiences in understanding history. Aside from intensive lectures, note-taking and discussions, we do role playing. Students assume the role of Martin Luther or Henry VIII at our Awkward Dinner party or are a member of Louis XIV's royal court as we place him on trial. For these motivated and accelerated students allowing them to creatively pursue and practice history is a fun way to foster their love of learning. I hope to offer them virtual reality, travel opportunities soon!
