My school is taking on a new reading series. This is a balanced literacy framework that starts each day with a read-aloud book. I will use the easel daily to display the book, do book talks, and share their thinking by making a chart. The need is great in my classroom! I will be able to take my children on journeys through books displayed on the easel and then write about our learning. The quote by Charlotte Huck describes what I want to accomplish in my classroom: "All that people have ever thought, done, or dreamed lies waiting to be discovered in a book."
