Most of my students hate the subject of math to begin with. As we have had to move into a distance-learning environment, we have had to make transitions to making the student assignments, quizzes, projects, and more to a digital platform. As you can imagine, for students who struggle with math to begin with, it is much more difficult to do math on a tablet with your computer or finger! As our world transitions past COVID-19, we are continuing to incorporate more creativity and technology into every aspect of our mathematics classes. I suspect that a digital platform will only become more prevalent - especially in the high school environment. The goal of this project is to eliminate the barriers of frustration that my students experience in the classroom so that each student can be as successful as possible. This project will provide a class set of stylus pens for my students to utilize while working on a digital platform in the math classroom. This will hopefully allow the students to experience less frustration and learn even more! It sounds like something so small, but if you have ever struggled with math, you know that every barrier being eliminated counts!
