My students attend a low-income area, Title I school. Outside of school the majority of our students face many obstacles. Through education and extracurricular activities, our students are given a chance to rise above their circumstances and showcase their many talents and skills. Our school serves as a place of hope and opportunity for many students. Due to lack of funding, there are many areas that are in need. As the basketball coach, there is a shortage of equipment, and we are not able to properly begin our season. I want our students to know that they are cared for and that they can bloom where they are planted. I want to provide these students with the right resources to help them flourish. I know that with your help and assistance we can make a difference in their lives. I want to ensure that they do not miss an opportunity because they don't have the resources to first take the shot.
