These books will make a world of difference for my inner city, title 1 students. We don’t have much funding, so every donation counts. These books will provide reading enrichment, which will hopefully increase comprehension and spark a love for reading! I’ve also included books that represent the races and ethnicities in my classroom. My students deserve to see people like them, in books they enjoy. I truly believe that my students can be millionaires and astronauts and chefs and anything else they aspire to be, they just need that little confidence boost. I hope that if they see that in these books, they’ll shoot for the stars.
