Our students are from low income families that have approved a new school for us. The past couple of years have been difficult for us to get new materials. 25-30% of our population receive free and reduced pricing for lunch and breakfast. We are a school that runs from August to the end of May. Our special needs population has had a drastic increase in numbers in the past two years especially in the area of autism. We need to keep providing sensory materials to our students but also need to provide more information to the other students in the building. This will provide understanding and caring for everyone including our students with disabilities. This increase in information will also help eliminate instances of bullying. With understanding comes compassion!

About my class
