My students are an amazing group. They face many daily challenges coming for an area with high poverty. They face stereotypes, prejudice and many other issues that come with children of poverty. My students need a champion to help them learn new things. When they have the chance they are imaginative, creative and caring. Art is a great outlet for some of the stress from their daily lives. My students can learn and grow through the arts.
