Teachers are always thinking of how to improve a child's reading level and stamina. What a better way than to improve the classroom library! My students are reading fiction and nonfiction books, and they could use more books in the classroom library. All students are encouraged to have a book baggie for both school and home environments. Based on the curriculum for reading and writing, it is encouraged that students use a mentor text to support their learning and ability to emulate a text presented to them. When students are presented with text support to enhance their learning, then they are more successful and engaged.
