Students learn better when they aren't hungry. Having a snack ready and available for them can help learning continue within the classroom and throughout the day. This will be especially important on days when they are in my classroom for over an hour. A snack paired with a quick walk can really help them focus back in for further learning Knowing a snack is available to them can really help students who aren't sure where their next meal is coming from. It's an unfortunate state of affairs, so I want to make sure those students know they can always come to me for a snack.
