I'm currently working on providing flexible seating for my 3rd grades. Last year I encountered students who were very high energy and typical seating was uncomfortable for them. It really distracted them in the classroom. At the time I didn't have the resources to procure what I needed to give my kiddos seating options. This year I got ahead and have group seating, yoga mats and lap chairs. But I still have students who don't work with either and would rather stand than be seated. The wobble chairs will help my student take autonomy of their learning by finding comfort in my class. I also want to provide my students water bottles. Hydration is important, especially in the Texan heat during recess. I want my kids' transitions from recess to be quick and effective, and also promote eco-friendly options to drinking water in public areas.
