My students require some extra help through the day, whether it is through behavior management or to make all lessons fit their needs. Each student has moderate to severe disabilities, where we like to highlight their incredible ABILITIES! I want to give them an opportunity to feel as though they can really be themselves in my classroom. This means for them to rock back and forth, feel tight compression or feel comfortable in a seat that supports them. These students are tough and persistent when it comes to their academics. They have a desire to learn and be the best learners they can be. The students thrive on their ability to work towards awards. The seating is their favorite award to achieve. The more flexible seating I have, the more accepting my classroom will be for them.
