In middle school, I used to be so excited about thumbing through a new 'zine; the headlines, bright colors, and interesting pictures captivated my attention. I am hoping to engage my students with a form of media that has taken a backseat to modern technologies. ScienceWorld grants the students access to accurate information that aligns with national and state science standards in a language that greets them and stories that keep them interested. I want students to see science in action around the world, outside a textbook. With the goal of building scientific literacy, I am hoping to bring a classroom set of magazines to these young scientists.
