All students learn about different types of energy through reading the textbook however, most will never get the chance to build a model and actually see how electricity is made from wind and water power. These kits demonstrate how both water and wind can be harnessed and turned into electricity providing renewable energy resources for years to come. These kits will give my students the opportunity to see and demonstrate how electricity is produced, and will also provide them with the opportunity to improve current designs, make predictions about their improvements to current designs, and give them the opportunity to share their ideas with other students in the class. Students will be tasked with designing different shaped propellers, using different types of materials for their propellers, contrasting different size propellers, and finally, adjusting the angle on similar propellers in the pursuit to find the most efficient way to produce electricity from wind and water.
