In my Spanish class, I use multimedia for my students to see and listen to authentic, contemporary materials. Whether they are movies, videos, music or songs, they bring culture into my classroom and allow my students to learn about the Spanish-speaking world. My hearing-impaired students deserve to understand clearly what they hear and to not have to struggle through the poor quality of an old speaker. We need a high-quality speaker to connect to my laptop and properly project the sound across our classroom. So much multimedia materials are available on the web, but the quality of the audio often requires the use of great speakers!
