Donations for this project will be used to help advance the learning opportunities for my students every day. My students require a variety of materials in order to ignite interest and maintain their attention. The use of light covers will allow us reduce florescent lighting that can be distracting and overstimulating to students. Play-Doh is used for sensory play and counting mats allow us to introduce basic math concepts during play. Adapted art supplies such as finger crayons and brushes allow us to create art projects that are accessible to our students. Math activities will be used during centers to provide new and interesting activities on a daily basis. Gel and sensory shapes allow us to infuse math and sensory during play. Finally, a daily calendar will allow us to add a calendar activity during circle time. By donating to this project you will be not only be helping me to provide an enriching environment for my students, but you will be directly helping each of my students by allowing them access to new and exciting materials. Although my students have learning difficulties every day for them is a new opportunity to gain a greater knowledge of the world around them.
