These new books and seating will create the opportunity for my students to become super readers. My students will have the opportunity to read everyday for 20mins. This is a way for my students to be exposed to the art of literature. This is a way for my students to increase their test scores and literacy. Only about 30% of my students are able to pass their end of year test. The daily reading will expose my students to more words, sentence structures, and texts that will help them improve their test scores. Data shows that the more students read, the better they do on standard tests. I want all of my students to pass their tests. Having access to relevant books and instilling time to read books will dramatically improve their scores.
