Living in a tough part of Chicago, my students don't have much opportunity to just "hang out" and be kids. I want to create a safe space for them to use after school. I would like to build a STEM maker lab for students, and stock it with lots of options for students to build, create, code, and have fun while learning. A few of my students had an opportunity to play with Cozmo robots on a field trip; they LOVED them! I would love to make these robots available for students to use at school. I would put them in the STEM lab and allow teams to check them out. The Legos are for creating the world that the Cozmo must navigate. Even though this is for high school kids, it is age appropriate. Most of my students did not have the opportunity to use Legos growing up, and building lets them flex their engineering muscles.
