My goal this school year is to begin building a blended classroom environment. After doing some research, many teachers have seen success using this method in their classroom, and it allows the teacher to spend more time with individuals and small groups of students. In order to make this happen, I will be creating an online classroom environment which will allow my students to self-pace their instruction. While students are working online, I will be able to float around the classroom helping other students. These tables will allow me to work with students one-on-one and in small groups to help them when they are struggling. Students will be able to work out problems on the table in front of them, and I will be able to see where they need extra help. This will allow for better use of instruction time, and many students will receive the remediation that they need.
