Donations to our classroom project will allow me first and foremost to give my students culturally relevant books in our classroom library. This is important and will affect them positively by giving them subjects and characters they can relate to more easily, while sparking their passion for reading. Anything that can motivate my students to read more will help me, help them progress to their fullest potential. As their teacher, I will always strive to do this. We will use these books for everything from reading aloud to the students and independent reading to making personal connections to their everyday lives.
