Dimensional analysis is a skill that will carry the 9th graders through high school and college. This skill is one that is used even in adult life. Calculators are a must in any science class for conversions and to solve all math problems. When the students are using the same scientific calculator, instructions will be easier for the students to comprehend. By having a scientific calculator in the classroom, students will gain confidence in performing conversions and solve math formulas. This confidence will translate in improved grades and increased love for science. When students feel successful, they become more engaged.
