We will do a book study using "Brown Bear Brown Bear What Do You See?" in the classroom. We will begin by identifying all the animals. Then we will use the different animals to identify the colors. Once the children are familiar with the book we will do art and outdoor activities to support the book. We will use the paint to color in each character in the book. We will use blue and red to make the purple cat. We will use yellow and red to make the orange fish. We will use the hula hoops outside to identify the circle shape. We will also play the freeze song as they move from one hula hoop to the other. They will also be encouraged to identify the hula hoop color once they are frozen. The children will also be given a copy of the book to take home. We will provide learning activities to support learning colors and animals as they read the book at home.
