I will be able to more efficiently work with my students in small groups and individually, on basic math and literacy skills. Young children need hands on assistance and guidance in order to fully engage in activities that are necessary to early child development. Currently students are using folded tables that wobble and make it hard for teacher to access all students. The teacher needs direct access to every student, whether we are working on counting, letter knowledge, or handwriting. We will also use the table for health and science lessons, art, and phonemic awareness activities. Our class will benefit from having a good space to work on.
