My students will collaborate and create objects that relate to their various cultures all while improving their English skills and gaining confidence around others. Many of my students are newcomers and need to gain language confidence by interacting with others. This printer will open up so many opportunities and possibilities for my students to create personal stories and bring them to life through their creations. We will use their projects for listening, reading, writing, and speaking so they can improve their English skills and be engaged in activities that will create excitement while learning a new language. One specific idea is to have students create personal narratives where they tell a story about their family and culture and then create a 3D object to represent their story. They will then share these with a small group and then display their creations during a Culture Week.
