This year I am so pumped to loop up with my fourth graders from last year and teach another combination class. I am in need of new class sets for us to read during our reading block. I searched for books that will capture my students' minds and keep them engaged during literacy instruction. After much research, I have determined that Bud, Not Buddy, by Christopher Paul Curtis and Out of My Mind, by Sharon Draper will be the perfect fit for my classroom. I am confident that the themes carried in these two novels will teach the students in my classroom valuable life long lessons.

About my class
