I am a high school special education teacher that works with students in grades 9-12 of varying abilities in a resource setting and through co-teaching Algebra 2. The students I work with during resource are in either Algebra 1, Algebra 2 with Trigonometry, or Geometry. These students are often assigned work that requires the use of a calculator. Many of my students do not have their own calculators and are left without one when completing assignments and taking tests. Just having a calculator can help students improve their confidence and keep from making simple mistakes! Having calculators in my classroom that these students can access when they test in my classroom would make a huge difference!
