Currently, I have an original blackboard covered by white shower board to act has my whiteboard for the class. Over the past year, with the nightly use of disinfecting chemicals, the whiteboard has become permanently stained. If this project is fully funded, I will no longer have to use the board for dry erase markers or chalk. Instead, I can take notes with students using the document camera. The images will be clear and I will have a record of notes and work for students who may be absent from class due to illness, quarantine, family emergencies, and etc. Not only will the camera be used for notes, but I will be able to demonstrate activities, dissections (if we have funding), and project readings for my classes of 35+ students to follow along.
