I have a first and second grade combination class this year. The use of technology and Chromebooks has changed our classrooms and helped with teaching a combination because the students have to work independently while I teach each grade level. We have been able to access many websites, apps, and individualize instruction. Technology has connected us to the real world by looking up information and taking virtual tours. The use of technology has helped us address diversity in learning styles. Accessing information quickly keeps the student's attention. And of course it makes learning more exciting. All this is wonderful, but... We need a class set of headphones to help us focus, stay on track, and keep the noise level down in our classroom.
