Students learn by doing. Most students have an interest in Legos and having these in my classroom allows them to build their confidence and share ideas. Whenever we talk about what activities they are interested in, building something is mentioned. They have a particular interest in Legos. Building with Legos allows each student a chance to work individually OR as a part of a team. ALL students can participate, which builds confidence and a sense of belonging. I see them gathered together in small groups chattering and sharing ideas. These materials will give each student a creative outlet that will help our classroom become more inclusive.
