Second graders learn best when they can tap into different ways of learning. Please help me to provide them with pencils for writing and solving problems and crayons, markers, scissors, and glue for expressing their learning through art. These materials will be shared in their groups so that all students have equal access and no student feels inferior for not having the ability to purchase these materials. Students will not only develop their creativity, but they will also learn how to share and work in cooperative groups. The dry erase markers will allow students to write their answers on whiteboards so that everyone has a chance to respond to questions at the same time. They will also be used so students can practice solving math problems in a more engaging way.
