I want to nurture a love for reading in each and every student that comes through my classroom. With these books I will be able to move closer to that goal. I love to read and would love to see my students grow to be the same way. Reading to children helps them enhance their vocabulary and gives them a better understanding of reading and writing. It also gives students the opportunity to learn about the world around them. I believe reading sets the stage for students to become lifelong learners and pre-k is where the foundation begins. These books will be used everyday in our classroom. Most of the students at our schoool do not have many books at home. This project gives my students the opportunity to foster a love for reading and learning.
