Our school has a large caseload of students with IEPs as well as students with sensory needs. These flexible seats will be an empowering option for my students who could use extra sensory support to stay focused throughout all parts of a lesson, including collaboration, research, scientific literacy, experimental inquiry, assessment, projects, etc. Students will be able to choose to use these mobile sensory seats to self-regulate when needed to help them excel in my high school science classroom. My intent with these flexible seats is to ensure every student gets exactly what they need to learn best and excel in my NGSS chemistry class.
