Manipulating lab measurement tools allows students to gain a clearer picture of basic units of measure. Through hands-on exploration and problem-solving, they experience first-hand the importance of precision and accuracy in measurement. Also, students engage in the process of calculating with greater understanding, after using measurement tools to build knowledge. By donating to this project, you will help students learn and retain real-world knowledge and skills. Using a triple beam balance, a compact scale, a spring scale, a meter stick, a beaker, and a graduated cylinder will give my students experiences they need to grasp basic concepts as they explore properties of matter.
