An abundant library will support and launch learning for my students! My students love learning and school. When I moved to my new school site, I did not bring the outdated, old books I had. I wanted the students in my classroom to experience the thrill of having new, current books that connect to their life experiences and the modern world around them. Students will use new books every day while participating in leveled reading groups, buddy reading, and self selected reading time. The Scholastic News magazines will supplement our social studies and science curriculum with up to date information while engaging students in national common core standards. As students grow in their reading stamina, they deserve books that are engaging, are hopeful, and respectful of their current and future life experiences.
