Kindergarten is not only the foundation of so many skills a child will learn throughout their lives, but also requires A LOT of repeated practice of basic skills. Students need exposure multiple times to really internalize the content. Giving students a chance to move throughout the lesson will help my active learners, while also encouraging participation and risk-taking! These items will directly help this constant review stay engaging and a part of our day that my students will look forward to! I plan to use the trampoline to help students practice counting as we review a variety of ways to represent a number or represent the syllables of a word. The scooters, bean bags, and ring will used to "race" to build our words, insert our missing sound, or identify a given letter or number.
