We know that all students do not learn in the same manner. Some are visual, kinesthetic, or auditory. Not only do students learn differently but they also very much so have different attention spans, motivation, and focus. More and more students are being identified as having attention deficit but it is also proven any child's attention span is quite short. In today's time, long clusters of time are needed in order to cover the needed material. All students deserve the chance to be successful in the classroom, and by providing my students with the option of having standing desks they are able to get up and out of their normal seat, stretch, and move but still maintain their involvement in the lesson. It gives them mobility if needed and there is even a "fidget" footrest bar that they are able to move, thus getting out any energy they may need to. The students will also have the option of sitting on a stool at the tall desk if needed but can easily get up and stretch.
