The majority of my students are economically disadvantaged. Many do not have any computer access at home, so to do anything that is close to a flipped classroom is basically impossible. I need to get tech that my students can actually use for a lot of different applications in a timely manner. To use our current laptops it takes about 15 minutes for each one to load up and in 50 minute classes, that is not exactly optimal.
