My students are just wonderful. They are a unique and diverse group of young people who call south side Oklahoma City their home. Although many of them come from humble backgrounds, there is a hunger to learn and a desire to grow which inspires me every day. These are people who want to make sense of this world and find their own place within it. My goal as their teacher is to prepare them as democratic citizens. I want to enable them to participate in society to their fullest extent. My current hope from Donors Choose is to better equip my classroom with materials to assist their learning.
