DNA science is an important focus in today's society. Applications can be found in the medical, forensic, pharmaceutical, genomics, and agricultural fields to name just a few. Students will be able to explore DNA manipulation techniques ranging from DNA extraction, digestion, separation, and amplification. The chosen kits allow these DNA techniques to be put into practice and students will explore advanced science in a hands-on approach. Genetic engineering of bacteria, making cheese, and exploring genetically modified products are a few of the exciting opportunities your support will provide for my students! Help me create the scientists, doctors, nurses, engineers, and creative thinkers of the future!
