The materials requested will help my students to become better independent thinkers, and explorers. If my DonorsChoose.org project is funded it will help my students to express their individuality through various means of creative expression. They will be able to use the dress-up clothes requested to pretend to be anyone that they want to be. They will be able to use the Play-Doh requested to build anything that they can imagine. They will be able to use the various crayons, markers, and colored pencils to draw anything that they want. I hope that through DonorsChoose.org my students will be able to use the Pretend and Play Hardwood Refrigerator to model common scenarios that are found throughout theirs homes and also what is seen in age appropriate television programming. Also considering that the refrigerator that is currently in our classroom does not contain any handles, I feel as though the Pretend and Play Hardwood Refrigerator would be a valuable asset to our classroom.
