Students work best in environments where they feel comfortable. The traditional desk and hard chair classroom environment does not always prove to be conducive to a welcoming, comfortable, classroom! Many times students are uncomfortable in our classroom chairs, or they struggle to sit still and could focus better in a chair that would allow them to move around. Students in elementary schools need constant movement to stay engaged. Having these stools for flexible seating will allow students who need constant movement to get that movement and focus better and will also allow the students to move in their chairs to look at anchor charts, smartboard screens, televisions, center groups, computers and more, without standing up and getting distracted! I believe these chairs will help improve focus in the classroom and will also be an exciting alternative to the typical chairs provided by our school.
