We will start the year exploring new frontiers in learning! I will make sure that each and every one of us will pledge to read everyday to make sure that we reach our 2nd grade reading goals, because Reading is the key to success! Utilizing our new headphones to listen to phonics lessons will help my second graders move forward strengthening reading and listening skills. Also, Illustrating stories read, using our color pencils will help with sequential order, and writing skills. The technology tablet will assist me when working with individual students to observe and track their success in read aloud activities and assessments. In our classroom we have many station activities, some activities will take place on the floor, this is where our new carpet will provide a comfortable place to read our decodable books and other word study activities. With all of our new materials we can walk into the future better prepared to experience success in all we do!
