Our students are voracious readers and are always up for a challenge. Participating in the PYRCA is an anticipated event each year as is the voting in March. Since our school is both a middle and high school, we have students selecting from both lists. Prior to the voting, we can share what we've read in book talks and, of course, celebrate the announcement of the winning favorites in April with a red carpet event. Our students are high achieving in a school with limited resources and funding. They have varied reading interests and appreciate a good book and their school library. PYRCA is a great way to celebrate the joy of reading.
