I am beginning to integrate maker space activities into my 5th-grade classroom. My goal is to challenge my students to create and learn through hands-on, personalized experiences. Makerspaces foster innovation, experimentation, real-world problem solving, collaboration, critical thinking, leadership and so much more! Green screen projects can be used throughout the curriculum; scientific processes, book talks, create a live television station, interviews, movies, and so much more. This is the perfect way to integrate technology and creativity. The Little Bits station will be a place to explore technology, construction, problem-solving, creativity, collaboration, imagination, innovation, design, and so many more hands-on explorations.
