I'm so excited to spend this year with some very amazing preschoolers! Unfortunately, classroom materials to support my kiddos with diverse learning needs aren't provided by the district. These materials, from weighted vests and blankets to noise-canceling headphones and supported seating, will help students with focusing difficulties and sensory processing challenges learn to regulate their feelings and attention in the room. Materials like these allow students to take control over their own learning and development, and to feel capable in a classroom setting where their specific developmental needs may otherwise be hard to address. These materials can make or break a student's comfort level and ability to focus in the classroom. Help me start the year by making sure every one of my students has the means to be successful in preschool!
