The four kindle tablets will be used in the library to allow students to listen to books online. My school currently shares a limited number of iPads and Chromebook carts with 750+ students. The tablets will allow my students to use 21st technology skills to use QR codes to listen to books. Many of my students struggle with staying engaged with traditional paperback books. The kindles will allow for familiarity and engagement. Many students have told me they have tablets at home and that they love playing on them. My students need the opportunity to learn how to use technology and navigate digital media.
