As Albert Einstein once said, "Logic will take you from A to B. Imagination will take you everywhere." Creativity and imagination thrive in a dedicated space where students feel safe and encouraged to express their ideas and thoughts with others. I plan to use the materials on my wishlist to help create an environment where each student feels comfortable and supported when exploring reading genres, writing stages, and mathematical concepts. My students are inquisitive and creative individuals who need a space to engage in making connections with one another to help their imaginations soar. This space will act as a gateway for my third graders to communicate with one another and use peer interactions to build their knowledge each and every day. We will build a positive learning environment by supporting one another with peer editing and revising during the writing process. We will also explore various reading genres through class read aloud, like our favorite fiction novel Because of Winn Dixie and books that discuss specific themes to help with social and emotional growth. By supporting our project, you are supporting a group of individuals who enjoy to learn and grow each and every day off of one another and the resources provided. You are helping to influence and shape the individuals within my class to understand that literacy in all realms is possible when given the tools and support to succeed. Please help our project to build a safe space to be creative and imaginative third graders!
