Flexible seating and bouncy bands would allow them to wiggle and shake in their chairs without distracting their peers. It will also give them an outlet for their pent up energy, freeing their mind to engage more fully in learning. Flexible seating also supports student autonomy and student self-efficacy by allowing students a choice and voice in their learning; they will have to select a chair that will work best for their learning. I want to provide my students with different options so they can be more comfortable in the learning environment but also have the ability to move as their bodies require.
