Adding a variety of fiction and non-fiction book selections to our library will enhance the reading experience for my students, especially for those students who don't have access to books at home. Listening to someone read with higher level books will increase vocabulary and assist with comprehension skill development. Student partner reading adds high level interest in books and learner knowledge. The reading session becomes very interactive. I enjoy observing the students together as the room buzzes with enthusiasm and excitement, building that life-long experience as readers. Fostering a love for reading is the best part of Kindergarten!
